Pursuant to § 173-9 of the Town Code, illicit discharge is illegal and punishable by fines up to $1,000. The Town has developed procedures to find, stop and eliminate all illicit discharges encountered. A hotline, 914-273-3000, ext. 44, is available to any citizen who observes and wishes to report an illicit discharge.
